Conveyor Systems

Overhead conveyors providing speed to the coating systems are preferred because of that they allow for all kinds of angles in line with the X, Y and Z axes. Preferred in the coating sector for their ease of assembly and maintenance, as well as noiseless working features, overhead conveyors are irreplaceable elements of the automatic facilities.

Besides overhead conveyors, our firm also produces different types of conveyor systems on a project and product basis.

1) WEBB TYPE OVERHEAD CONVEYOR LINES

Webb-type conveyors produced of high carbon steel with hot-forging method consist of 3 parts, as side link, middle link and pin. Since the chain links are connected to each other without rivets, its assembly and dismantling are very simple. Trolleys consist of two bodies symmetrical to each other; and between them, there exist the connected bearing sheet bars, and bearings are mounted on them.

Bearings are special type conveyor bearings that have a structure suitable for operation at 200°C temperature. And the bodies are made of high carbon steel, with hot-forging method. Trolley bearings are lubricated by means of the grease nipples on the bodies.

It operates on the principle that the trolleys mounted on the chains, moved by means of the drive unit, carries the hanging loads by moving on the NPI profile rail. The conveyor rail is hold by the footed steel pillars fixed on the floor. Besides the horizontal movements in X and Y axes, they are also suitable for vertical movements in X axis , because of their structures.

The unit load carrying capacity of the standard trolleys is 200kg, and tensile strength of the chain is 22.000kg. In this type of conveyors, unit loads up to 450 kg can be carried, by means of the heavy-duty trolleys with 4 bearings. Since the trolleys can only be connected to the middle links of the chains, their intermediate distances can be determined as 8"and can its multiples..

2) CARDAN TYPE OVERHEAD CONVEYOR LINES
Cardan-type conveyors are based on the system, in which the cardan is moved in the guide rails and in the X, Y and Z axes. Cardan chains are produced with totally 400mm pitch, whose 180mm is on the female bearing links and 220mm is on the male links. For this reason, the axis interspaces between the hangers are suitable to be used as 400mm and its multiples. However, when needed, the axis interspaces between the hangers can be reduced to 200mm and its multiples, by attaching special types of hanger parts to the male links. Each pitch with the length of 400mm has 4 load-bearing and 4 guiding bearings.

The type of the bearings is with special string balls (with and without casing) that have a special structure suitable for operation at 200°C temperature. The standard rails are produced in the length of 3m. The 2 opposed rails are connected to each other with the flanges located at the maximum distances of 500mm. The standard maintenance (inspection) rails have a length of 3m; and its detachable part is 500mm in length at one side. The drive groups are caterpillar type from above; and it operates on the principle that the pusher tabs mounted between the 2 caterpillar chains gives motion to the cardan chain. The torque limiters used in drive groups are intended for protecting the conveyor and materials being carried as well as other units on the lay-out, in the cases of jamming an strain. The central lubrication units have a structure that can lubricate all the bearings at the both horizontal and vertical axes, within one revolution of the cardan chain.

They are preferred conveyor systems because of that they have simple structure in addition to its soundness, and that it requires less maintenance. The tensioner construction that keeps the system tensioned, and horizontal and vertical curves are available. The drive power and low AC engine current is provided with a reducer-type station. The conveyor speed is controlled by the speed controller.

CARDAN CONVEYOR TYPES
In the EM-32 cardan chains, the bearings has 30mm diameter, and the chain plates has 22mm width and 3mm thickness. The thickness of the rail profiles is 3mm, and that of the connecting flanges is 4mm. The maximum carrying capacity per hanger is 25kg. The power of the motor-driven reducer used in the drive group is 1.1 kw (1.5HP). The torque limiter being used can be adjusted up to a maximum torque of 680Nm. For horizontal curves made in the rails, minimum 750mm and maximum 2.500mm radius can be selected. When smaller size is needed, drum-type horizontal curves should be used. For vertical curves, the radius measures should be between 500-2.500mm.

Used in the EM-40 cardan chains, the bearings has 38mm diameter, and the chain plates has 26mm width and 4mm thickness. The thickness of the rail profiles is 3.5mm, and that of the connecting flanges is 5mm. The maximum carrying capacity per hanger is 50kg. The power of the motor-driven reducer used in the drive group is 1.1KW (1.5HP). The torque limiter being used can be adjusted up to a maximum torque of 680Nm. For horizontal curves made in the rails, minimum 500mm and maximum 2.500mm radius can be selected. When smaller size is needed, drum-type horizontal curves should be used. For vertical curves, the radius measures should be between 500-2.500mm.

Used in the EM-45 cardan chains, the bearings has 45mm diameter, and the chain plates has 30mm width and 6mm thickness. The thickness of the rail profiles is 4mm, and that of the connecting flanges is 6mm. The maximum carrying capacity per hanger is 100kg. The power of the motor-driven reducer used in the drive group is 1.5KW (2HP). The torque limiter being used can be adjusted up to a maximum torque of 1,130Nm. For horizontal curves made in the rails, minimum 500mm and maximum 2.500mm radius can be selected. When smaller size is needed, drum-type horizontal curves should be used. For vertical curves, the radius measures should be between 500-2.500mm.

3) PALLET TYPE OVERHEAD CONVEYOR LINES
The conveyor that has a bottom rail consisting of NPU iron, and an upper rail consisting of bracket is fixed on the floor or ceiling with the load-bearing feet. The load-bearing shafts are produced specially; equipped with bearings at the both sides, and by this means, the friction is minimized during the movement. The drive center on the tension station that provides the tension of the conveyor chain consists of the reducer and belt & pulley mechanism. Depending on the operation format, it is speed controlled or equipped with panel control. Material suspending is made through the shaft center. The distance between the shaft and center is 500mm, and each hanger has a load-bearing capacity of 100 kg.

4) FLOOR TYPE CONVEYOR LINES
This conveyor system moving on the floor or close to the floor is used for electrostatic powder and wet coating systems or as an assembly line. It has more application areas, generally for coating the ferrous and nonferrous metals, and plastic-based products, geometries of which allow, by giving rotational motion.

Cardan conveyors are used as floor type conveyor lines because of the facts that their cardan rails have not a wide gap; and that they work noiseless. Rotating the material to be coating renders possible to obtain maximum efficiency from the coating. With floor type conveyor systems, it is possible to coating materials with round and elliptical geometry as well as plastic and metal accessories.
